Delivered to your pitch, levelled, set up and handed over. No tent, no packing down, no queuing for a shower. You walk away at the end and we come and collect it.
Glastonbury · Boomtown · Green Man · BoardmastersThere is a version of a festival that begins with two hours of hammering pegs into hard ground and ends with taking it all down in the rain. Somewhere in the middle there is a shower block with a queue, a cool box that stopped being cool on Friday, and a phone on four percent.
This is the other version. We deliver the Grand Tourer to site, find the pitch, level the vehicle, set it up, run through how everything works, and leave. You have a made bed, a cold fridge, a hot shower and power that lasts the whole weekend. At the end you simply walk away, and we come and collect it.
Festival tickets and the right live-in vehicle pass. These come from the festival, not from us. See the checklist below.
Send us your pass type and we confirm it is the right one for a 7.41m vehicle before anything is booked.
We arrive early in the entry window to get decent ground, take the pitch, level the vehicle and get everything ready for you.
Keys handed over, a number to call, and we are gone. We return after the festival to collect.
Most festival campervans are ordinary hire vans driven in by the people staying in them. Three things separate the Grand Tourer, and all three matter more at a festival than anywhere else.
Almost no live-in vehicle field offers mains hook-up. Most vans arrive on a charged leisure battery and are rationing it by the third night, running the fridge down and charging phones in the car. The Grand Tourer carries a 300Ah lithium battery with a 190W solar panel and an inverter. The fridge stays cold, the lights stay on, the phones stay charged, and the living area air conditioning still works on the Sunday.
Festival fields are farmland. Matterley Estate at Boomtown is a natural bowl and notoriously hilly. Everyone around you will be wrestling with levelling blocks and wheel chocks. We press a button, the hydraulic legs do the rest, and your bed is flat and your shower drains properly.
Festival sites are famous for having no phone signal at all once fifty thousand people arrive. Starlink satellite internet with a roof-mounted antenna means you can actually find the people you came with, check set times, and call home.
Not a wet room where the loo gets soaked. A proper shower cubicle and a separate toilet, with a privacy door that closes both off from the rest of the vehicle. Towels provided. No queue, no walk across a dark field, no wristband required.
A fixed island double you can walk around without climbing over anyone, with hotel-quality linen. A drop-down double over the lounge for two more. Blackout blinds and fly screens on every window, which matters when the sun comes up at half past four.
A full fridge freezer, oven, gas hob, espresso machine, kettle and toaster, with all the crockery, cutlery, pots and pans. Coffee on Saturday morning that did not cost seven pounds and involve a queue.
The fridge is still cold and the bed is still comfortable, but the toilet cassette is full, the fresh water is low, and the bin bags are stacking up by the door. On a five-day festival that is the point at which a motorhome starts to feel like a chore rather than a luxury.
So we come back and deal with it. On the middle morning of the festival we will:
Twenty minutes, and the second half of your festival feels like the first half did.
As far as we know, nobody else offers this.
The Grand Tourer is 7.41m long, 2.33m wide and 3.00m high. Every festival sizes its pitches differently, so the pass you need is not the same at each one. This is the single most common way a festival campervan booking goes wrong, so please read it carefully.
| Festival | Where | The pass you need |
|---|---|---|
| GlastonburyWorthy Farm, Somerset | On-site campervan fields take vehicles up to 8m | Standard campervan ticket. We fit with room to spare. |
| BoomtownMatterley Estate, Winchester | Standard pitches are 5m wide by 7m deep | You must book the LARGE campervan pass. At 7.41m we do not fit a standard pitch and would be turned away at the gate. |
| Green ManGlanusk Estate, Brecon Beacons | Campervan pass is for vehicles under 6m | You must book the MOTORHOME pass, which covers vehicles from 6m up to 9m. |
| BoardmastersWatergate Bay, Newquay | Standard Live-In pitches are 9m by 6m | Standard Live-In Vehicle ticket. We fit comfortably. |
Going to a festival that is not on this list? Ask us. If there is a live-in vehicle field and we can get a pass onto the site, we can usually get there.
We would far rather tell you this now than have you find out at the gate. None of it is difficult, but all of it has to be in place before we can deliver.
Every person sleeping in the Grand Tourer needs their own valid festival ticket. We cannot supply these, and there are no exceptions at any of the four festivals. At Boomtown everyone must also be 18 or over.
This is a separate ticket from your festival ticket. It is sold separately, in limited numbers, often at a different time, and it is what buys the pitch the vehicle stands on. Without one we cannot enter the campervan field.
Check the table above for which type you need. Boomtown needs the large pass and Green Man needs the motorhome pass. Booking the standard version at either means being turned away.
Live-in vehicle passes sell out well before general tickets do, and at Glastonbury they are only available to general admission ticket holders, not coach package holders. At Glastonbury the campervan ticket also carries the name and address of the person who booked it, and only one can be booked per transaction.
Once you have the pass, send us the type and the confirmation. We will check it against the vehicle dimensions and tell you straight away if something is wrong, while there is still time to change it.
A few festivals require the whole party to arrive with the vehicle on first entry. Where that applies, we drive you to site rather than delivering ahead of you. Tell us where you would like to be collected from and we will include it in your quote.
The Grand Tourer carries four including the driver, so in that case up to three of you travel with us and anyone else makes their own way. We will tell you which applies to your festival before you book.
Green Man and Boomtown allocate pitches on arrival rather than reserving them, so we aim to arrive early in the entry window to get decent ground. That means agreeing a departure time with you that may be earlier than you would choose. It is worth it.
Festivals are harder on vehicles than touring is. A refundable deposit applies, returned after the vehicle is collected and checked. We will confirm the amount when you enquire.
Tell us the festival, your dates and which live-in vehicle pass you hold, and we will confirm availability and price. If you have not bought the pass yet, tell us anyway and we will make sure you buy the right one.
We have one vehicle and festival weekends book a long way ahead, so the earlier the better.
